Talk about everything.
I am using the 1.6 beta 5 patch right now. I don't know if this bug has been mentioned, but my asteroid mining bases are not showing after I build them on the asteroids. Here is a screenshot:

My debug.err is tremendous, so I didn't copy it here, but I can send it in if I need to.

I am also getting the bug where mining ships don't start mining automatically when they travel a longer distance to an asteroid. I have to move them off one space and then move them back if they travel too far to the asteroid.

Just wanted to throw those minor bugs out there.

Does your debug contain any lines to the effect of "could not create graphics" or something similar?

No, there isn't anything in there like that. The debug.err is here:

debug.err

Thanks for the help, Kryo.

I get that sometimes too. You can just click 'build' on the ship panel to have it start construction, rather than wasting a turn moving around.

Oh! Thanks for the tip!

I just wanted to confirm this bug.

Loading up a Beta5 savegame (missing bases) in Beta6, bases still missing:

Starting a new game under Beta6, bases still missing:

Debug.err from the Beta6 game.

Addendum: I am absolutely, positively sure that the bases were there in Beta3. I skipped Beta4, and in Betas5 and 6 they are missing.

I am also experiencing this bug, both in a Beta 6 game I loaded up over the weekend, and in a new game I started earlier today. I don't see any error messages in my debug.err -- I'll be happy to post the entirety here if anyone thinks it would be helpful.
